Based on Baz Lurhmann’s award-winning worldwide film phenomenon, Strictly Ballroom: The Musical is heading out on a brand-new UK and Ireland tour starring Strictly Come Dancing favourite Kevin Clifton and BBC's Eastenders' Maisie Smith!

Directed and co-choreographed by Britain’s best loved TV Judge, Craig Revel Horwood, Strictly Ballroom: The Musical follows arrogant, rebellious young ballroom dancer, Scott Hastings (Kevin Clifton). When his radical and daring dance style sees him fall out of favour with Australian Federation, he must dance with beginner, Fran (Maisie Smith). Together they find the courage to defy tradition and discover that to win, your steps don’t need to be strictly ballroom!

Come along and see who lives in the Kingdom of Eggshelia and the awful curse that the Egg holds – safeguarded by our hero, Humpty Dumpty.

The wicked villain is determined to release the curse upon the Kingdom and plunge Eggshelia once again into eternal darkness.

Can all be saved by our heroes and heroines? Will the Kingdom of Eggshelia still bask in glorious sunshine? Can Humpty Dumpty hold it all together without cracking up?

CHRISTMAS AT HEVER CASTLE 

The magical Christmas Lights experience starts from 16:00 when you can wrap up warm and enjoy a walk under the stars to explore the grounds. Witness the enchantment of the Castle, gardens and lake festooned with fabulous colours and twinkling lights, capturing the spirit of Christmas. 

Bring torches and pop on your wellies to see Hever Castle’s much-loved gardens lit up with glorious colour washes, spectacular illuminations and music.

Wander further afield for a trip into ‘space’ where the bright moon shines and illuminated planets fill the evening skies.

Explore the ‘Festive Forest’ with Red the squirrel and meet his joyful woodland friends as Red receives thoughtful seasonal gifts along the charming Christmas Trail and discovers the true meaning of Christmas.

As well as exploring the captivating handcrafted bespoke displays on the Christmas Trail, meet characters from the ‘Festive Forest’ as you wander through the beautiful grounds.

In the Castle you will be met with beautiful traditionally decorated rooms, welcoming log fires and twinkling Christmas trees.

In front of the Castle, ride the gallopers then head to the big wheel and have a go at hook a duck (additional charges apply).

Appreciate relaxed Christmas shopping in the Gift Shops, and feast on delicious seasonal food in the cafes and kiosks.

See some of the owls from Willow’s Birds of Prey centre in their aviary and learn a little about these magnificent birds or meet them up close and take a photo as a memento

Before entering the castle, we will go for a late lunch at the nearby Hever Castle Waterside Golf Club

Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. ELF THE MUSICAL features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone)
